Good coffee should be for everyone!  When I got a little more serious about coffee, it seemed to me that there was this formidable obstacle of learning how to appreciate good coffee and a underlying fear of not being able to appreciate it the way it is meant to be appreciated and also a fear and apprehension of not belonging to the "elite" of the third wave coffee movement. Kickoff with Burundi

So here it is, finally!  Our Burundian single origin has finally arrived, I cant begin to tell you how excited I am about this particular coffee it is most certainly one of the coffee worlds best kept secrets.  But what makes it great, what makes it standout.  This tiny little country known as the heart of Africa not just because of its geographic location but also because of its outline has a little more than a story to tell, some of that story reflects though its coffee.  Burundi is landlocked, resource-deprived and has a near total absence of manufacturing it therefore relies predominantly on its agricultural abilities to sustain itself. Why are Single Origin Coffees so expensive and yet so desirable and are they better???

So you've been drinking coffee your whole life, you may or may not have moved up the coffee food chain in terms of quality.  I for instance in my naivety used to think that my morning cuppa instant Joe was the pinnacle of coffee decadency. Stop Laughing! Fact of the matter is that most people simply cannot move on with their daily lives without their AM fix, you all know what I mean.
